Hear Ye Hear Ye

Welcome to 2016! There is so much to talk about in 2016 and we begin at the first Mount Dora City Council meeting of the year on January 5th - Tuesday - at 6pm - At the Community Building - Next to City Hall.

So here are some of the items we'll be talking about but first remember that at the start of the meeting is a time for citizens to address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. If you have an issue on your mind or a question you have, please bring it forward then.

There are many items on the agenda and I'll highlight (what I think) will be the big items. Now this is not to say that some of them are not very exciting or that the real excitement might be from a subject not discussed here. I guess you just have to be there to know (or wait for the audio/video to make it to the web).

4 Big Presentations --

1. Canine Mayor -- It is a big deal if you are a dog.

2. Update on Status of U.S. 441/State Road 46 Improvements

3. Presentation – Water and Wastewater Rate Study

4. Bio-Solids Update

Numbers 2-4 are some very big dollar impacts to us. We might see a 21% increase water/wastewater. We might spend millions on the other projects.

Plus - We are going to talk about future agenda items, the Public Arts funding, ongoing litigation, Mount Dora Health Facilities Authority and several more items.

It should be a good time to sit back and listen or step up and speak so that we can Hear Ye!
